EUROPEAN UNION COSMETIC REGULATION (EC) NO. 1223/2009

Gaelle Organic supports the EU’s commitment to consumer protection and animal welfare. Our products are registered in the EU and marketed in compliance with the European Union’s Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. These regulations require all cosmetic products to be registered in a centralized database prior to being sold in the EU, subject to a formal protocol.

MANDATORY TOXICOLOGY ANALYSIS

A comprehensive toxicology report must be prepared by a qualified scientist and filed for each product
The toxicology report must include data from laboratory testing of the product as well as a detailed safety review of its ingredients

PRODUCT CLAIMS MUST BE SUBSTANTIATED WITH EVIDENCE

Clinical evidence must be shown for every claimed benefit that is made

FULL DISCLOSURE OF INGREDIENTS

To ensure full transparency, outer packaging must list all ingredients, without exception 

NO ANIMAL TESTING

Testing ban – prohibition to test finished cosmetic products and cosmetic ingredients on animals
Marketing ban – prohibition to market finished cosmetic products and ingredients in the EU which were tested on animals
